Fakarava, an unmissable destination for today's divers with Rangiroa located at a distance of only 267km. At the south pass of Fakarava, the dive sites are practically virgin while remaining accessible to novice divers. The visibility allows to see at a great depth, a particularly rich fauna and flora.

The Tumakohua pass, south of Fakarava, incarnates a diver’s paradise. The Tetamanu pass is well know for its wall of 500 sharks and the wealth of its wildlife yet well preserved. Several divers state that it is the most beautiful pass of all French Polynesia.
Exceptional Sites
The Tumakohua pass where Tetamanu Dive is installed, is full of hundreds of fish and sharks. You will discover the entire ecosystem of the pass, loaches marbles, nasons, wrasses that evolve on a background of coral rose, and the famous sharks wall.

Tetamanu Diving - Tetamanu Village & Tetamanu Sauvage, located at the southern part of the Fakarava atoll, invites you to the discovery of the coral reefs, lagoon, and the beauty of this atoll protected and indexed biosphere reserve by Unesco. You can enjoy the snorkeling and the excursions.
Snorkeling
The Tumakohua pass and the lagoon near the hostel are ideal sites to enjoy snorkeling, to discover octopusses, groups of multicolored fishes and corals at shallow depth.
Excursions
Excursions to paradise like islets such as pink sands (picnic) where you may wander and relax peacefully between the lagoon and luxurious vegetation. Play at being Robinson Crusöe!

Tetamanu village & Sauvage is a charming hostel located in the old village of Tetamanu, where the first church of the Tuamotu was built. Several beach and garden bungalows, all equipped with toilet and individual shower (cold water) with a 2 persons bed and a small 1 person bed. All bungalows have a view on the famous Tumakohua pass.
